Family who fell for scared escaped campsite dog heartbroken to reunite dog with pawrent after 3 weeks, 1 week later pawrent returns dog completing their happy furever family, mom says: ‘I was reunited with my baby and he’s been with us ever since.’

When the Doggo Distribution System has decided that a dog is yours there is little that can be done to change that. Even giving the dog back to its original family will not sway the DDS as one canine loving couple found out.

It is rather strange in the grand scheme of things, as in most cases these kinds of rescues usually result in the dog getting adopted out, or in the best case remaining with the hoomans who found it and fell in love with it. But this story comes with a bit of a twist, for while the couple who came upon this poor pupper left alone in the woods did fall in love with it and had almost come to the conclusion that he would be theirs seeing as no one had claimed him. They would come to find that the pupper's pawrent was looking for him all along.

But instead of the rescued pupper and his pawrent having a heartfelt reunion the pupper began acting up, having already claimed the couple as his new family, and that is when this doggo's original pawrent made a call to the couple that would furever change their lives.

While this is totally the right thing to do, especially if the dog seems to be in decent health and no immediate danger, you do also have to wonder if it is not scary to approach a large unknown dog. After all, a lone dog can be in that position for many reasons, one of which is that they are more than capable of taking care of themselves if put in the position that they have to. It takes a lot of understanding and bravery to have such a nonchalant approach to this unpredictable doggo sitting all alone.

You know, there are some people who love dogs, and then there are people who truly and deeply understand them. And judging by this story, this is a couple who are of the latter understanding kind. Not many people would have decided to turn back after buying food for a dog that they do not know nor have any obligation to. But these diligent doggo doters simply could not see any other way to handle the situation and we support it. After all, each and every doggo soul is deserving of love and care, especially those how have been denied it by others.
